Este año se encuentran las categorías <a href="http://robotica.elo.utfsm.cl/competencia/larc_descripcion_open">OPEN</a>, <a href="http://robotica.elo.utfsm.cl/competencia/larc_descripcion_sek">SEK</a>, <a href="http://robotica.elo.utfsm.cl/competencia/larc_descripcion_very_small">Very Small Soccer</a>, <a href="http://robotica.elo.utfsm.cl/competencia/larc_descripcion_robocup">Small Size Soccer</a>, <a href="http://robotica.elo.utfsm.cl/competencia/larc_descripcion_robocup">2D Simulation Soccer</a> y <a href="http://robotica.elo.utfsm.cl/competencia/larc_descripcion_robocup">Rescue Simulation</a>. Los desafíos están dirigidos a estudiantes tanto universitarios como escolares e incluso egresados de menos de dos años con deseos de poner a prueba sus habilidades para construir robots. Para participar deben inscribirse antes de la fecha indicada. Los ganadores de cada categoría recibirán premios otorgados por los auspiciadores del evento.</div><div align="justify"><br />Además está el LARS <a href="http://jri2008.dca.ufrn.br/LARC/main.php">(VI Latin American Robotics Symposium - LARS)</a> donde se presentan diversas personalidades relacionadas con la robótica y la tecnología que realizarán charlas dirigidas a estudiantes para exponer sus proyectos e investigaciones.
